Some swings in the Yen as the world tries to work out whether it is risk adverse or not. It does seem clear however that this tug of war about whether it is worth the currency risk in order to earn the yield carry, can only end with an eventual mad rush for the exit. For nor the USD/YEN is sideways in a broad range, but expect a sharp fall when we least expect it !
