Despite the retreat from the highs, the Euro and other currencies look set to continue their climb higher today against the US dollar.

The China trade issue is likely to hurt the US dollar in the short term, by acting as a catalyst for the long term US dollar down-trend to continue.

Expect the Yen to be bought on dips as the carry trades continue to be quietly unwound on the bid rather than by chasing the market.

The Australian dollar could well reach 82 cents and higher this week, especially if the RBA hikes as I expect they will on Wednesday.
