AUD rallied overnight after their CPI numbers were released higher than expected

AUD rallied overnight after their CPI numbers were released higher than expected. This may lead to the RBA raising interest rates.

Increased risk aversion has helped the USD gain against the EUR. Investors selling stocks and other risky assets are interested in more safe haven investments. As a result we have seen the USD gain and the Canadian dollar fall off the 33 year highs it has been trading around recently.

There are no major numbers being released in the US today.
